I'm a doctoral candidate in Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship at University of Maryland, College Park. My research interest grounds on the embeddedness perspective to study issues in corporate strategy, entrepreneurship, and human capital acquisition. Specifically, I am interested in understanding how individuals and firms appropriate rent from value created from relational capital. To that end, I explore how appropriation of relational rent drives various strategic decisions (diversification, entrepreneurship, acquisition) and outcomes (individual and firm performance). For example, my recent work examines performance implications of client-led firm diversification, with a focus on the tension between firm capabilities and embeddedness. Currently, I'm working with Professor Rajshree Agarwal on projects that apply relational perspectives in industry evolution.
