Dr. Ibrahim is a Distinguished Tyser Teaching Fellow in Information Systems. Dr. Ibrahim teaching areas are Information Systems Development and Project Management. During his 29 years of teaching experience, Dr. Ibrahim taught numerous graduate and undergraduate level classes as well as Executive MBA classes at The University of Maryland, The George Washington University, and Virginia Tech. Dr. Ibrahim received several teaching awards and was nominated for the "Outstanding Scholar of the Year Award" in  Virginia in 1996.

Dr. Ibrahim's research interest is Technology Management; especially the strategic applications of Information Systems to Business strategy. His research was published by Harvard Business School, and APICS's Production and Inventory Control Journal. Ibrahim served on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Operations Management. Dr. Ibrahim has worked for or consulted with a number of industry leaders including The World Bank, Hughes Network Systems, McDonnell Douglas, Philips Electronics, and Siemens Medical Systems.
