Wedad Elmaghraby is an Associate Professor of Operations Management and Management Science. Her broad research interests are in procurement, auction theory and behavioral operations management. Her current research projects include (i) an empirical investigation of the impact of pricing decision support tools in B2B markets, (ii) a field experiment in online B2B auctions examining the role of starting prices , (iii) an empirical investigation of the impact of current auctions and resulting reference pries on final auction prices, (iv) behavioral studies of contracts in the presence of moral hazard, and (v) behavioral studies of contracts on the types of products retailers choose to stock. Professor Elmaghraby is currently the PhD coordinator for the OMMS group at the Smith School. Prior to joining the Smith School, she was on the faculty of the ISyE at Georgia Institute of Technology and NYU Stern School of Business in the Operations Management group.
